Weather Now: Warm Sunny Today; Late Day T’Storm Possible Friday |
We have a beautiful summery day underway, with dry skies, lower humidity, and very warm temperatures. Highs reach the upper 80s inland with light northwest winds turning south in the afternoon. Hour by Hour // A look at the next hours’ conditions » If you’re trying to get in another beach day before the end of August, today is going to be a beauty. We’ll see plenty of sun with highs in the low 80s. The water temperature is still in the 70s. Ocean, Bay & Beach // A look at the conditions by the coast » Warm temperatures and clear skies this evening will give way to partly cloudy conditions tonight with rising humidity. There could be a bit of fog by dawn with lows in the upper 60s. While most of Friday looks dry, an approaching cold front in the late afternoon and evening could spark a few strong to severe thunderstorms. The risk is higher in western New England, with storms that could bring damaging wind gusts, hail, and heavy downpours. We’ll be keeping a close eye on these storms as they push into southeastern New England at the end of the day. Ahead of any stormy conditions, it will be very warm, humid, and breezy with highs in the mid to upper 80s inland and low 80s at the coast. Southwest winds will increase to 5-15mph with gusts to 20mph. WPRI 12 is looking for viewer opinions |
WPRI 12 and its affiliated stations and websites are currently seeking Southern New Englanders to join an ongoing viewer feedback panel.
WPRI 12 has partnered with RAM (Research and Analysis of Media) in hopes of learning from viewers through brief online surveys in order to improve its content, offerings and advertising.
Whether you watch TV every day or just on occasion, the surveyors want to hear from as many people as possible.
Each time respondents answer a survey, they'll earn points that can be redeemed for Amazon gift cards. For example, earn 1,000 points to receive a $5 Amazon card, earn 1,500 points to receive a $10 Amazon card, and so on.
