| Good afternoon. We saw some beneficial rain along the coast last night and early this morning as a weak wave of low pressure passed off-shore. This area remains in an extreme drought and needs the rain the most. As that disturbance continues to move eastward, patchy drizzle and fog will gradually dry up. It turns drier but remains mostly cloudy this afternoon. It stays humid, too, with highs in the mid 70s. Winds will be from the south-southeast at 5-10mph. RI PRIMARY DAY FORECAST: Humid with a Few Showers, T’Storms Possible An approaching cold front will bring the risk of for scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms on Tuesday. These will be hit-or-miss, but there is the chance for a few stronger/severe thunderstorms. Any storms that develop could contain strong winds, small hail and heavy rain. In addition, there is a very low risk for an isolated, brief tornado. A beautiful stretch begins Wednesday, with cool, crisp, fall-like air moving in for Thursday and Friday. WPRI 12 and its affiliated stations and websites are currently seeking Southern New Englanders to join an ongoing viewer feedback panel.
WPRI 12 has partnered with RAM (Research and Analysis of Media) in hopes of learning from viewers through brief online surveys in order to improve its content, offerings and advertising.
Whether you watch TV every day or just on occasion, the surveyors want to hear from as many people as possible.
Each time respondents answer a survey, they'll earn points that can be redeemed for Amazon gift cards. For example, earn 1,000 points to receive a $5 Amazon card, earn 1,500 points to receive a $10 Amazon card, and so on.
