Weather Now: Warm, Humid and Breezy Today

It’s another warm and humid day for students and teachers heading back to school. It’s quite steamy for this time of year in Southern New England. Expect partly sunny skies this afternoon with highs in the mid to upper 80s inland and low 80s at the coast. Hour by Hour // A look at the next hours’ conditions » When the humidity is factored in, the “feel like” temperature or heat index will be in the low 90s this afternoon. ON THE BEACH: For those with the day off and heading to the shore, look for morning low clouds and fog to clear out. It will be breezy and humid with south winds 5-10mph this morning and then increasing to 10-20mph this afternoon. Ocean, Bay & Beach // A look at the conditions by the coast » An approaching cold front will bring increasing clouds tonight with a chance of a shower towards dawn. It will be another uncomfortably warm and humid night, with lows in the 70s. An early morning shower or thunderstorm could impact the wait at the bus stop tomorrow, but it will quickly clear with sunshine and falling humidity in the afternoon. WPRI 12 is looking for viewer opinions

WPRI 12 and its affiliated stations and websites are currently seeking Southern New Englanders to join an ongoing viewer feedback panel.

WPRI 12 has partnered with RAM (Research and Analysis of Media) in hopes of learning from viewers through brief online surveys in order to improve its content, offerings and advertising.

Whether you watch TV every day or just on occasion, the surveyors want to hear from as many people as possible.

Each time respondents answer a survey, they'll earn points that can be redeemed for Amazon gift cards. For example, earn 1,000 points to receive a $5 Amazon card, earn 1,500 points to receive a $10 Amazon card, and so on.
